Dr. Robicheaux is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon with specific expertise in minimally-invasive techniques involving the hand and upper extremities of the body. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he also served as Vice President and Surgical Society President during his time there. Dr. Robicheaux traveled to the University of California, Irvine to complete his Orthopedic Surgery Residency, achieving the coveted Chief Resident status along the way, and then to the east coast for fellowship training in arthroscopy, arthroplasty, complex fracture care, sports injuries and micro-surgical reconstructive techniques at the New York University Hospital for Joint Disease in New York, where he was named an Administrative Fellow.
An injury to Dr. Robicheaux's knee in college effectively ended his athletic career and is what has fueled his passion for pursuing a career in orthopedics and the treatment of such injuries. Defined by his compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Robicheaux has authored several clinical articles, given numerous presentations and received multiple awards throughout his career. He has also pursued a commitment to medical volunteerism through his founding of "Giving in Good Hands Ortho," a non-profit organization with a mission to provide medical care and education to underserved regions around the world.
Dr. Robicheaux is a member of the California Medical Association and is affiliated with the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the California Orthopedic Association and the Orange County Medical Association.
